What browser should I use to watch the Virtual Show?

Get the latest Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera, or Safari. Note: Internet Explorer is not supported.

What are the hours and what time-zone will the show take place?

The show booths and all seminars will be presented in Pacific Standard Time (PST).

  • Wednesday to Friday: 11:00 am to 7:00 pm PST
  • Saturday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm PST

How long will the Virtual Show be available to view?

The “live show” dates are February 24-27.

The site will be available for 6 months after the live dates with content being updated by exhibitors. Reminders to check for new content will be sent out in the Consumer Newsletter.

Do all the exhibitors listed have the same type of space and will I have the same virtual experience with every exhibitor listed?

There are 2 categories of Exhibitors at the virtual show – those with a Virtual Space and those with a Traditional Listing.

Exhibitors with a Virtual Space
You will be able to personally connect and talk about products and services, chat live, email, video ZOOM discussions.

Exhibitors with a Traditional Listing
You will be able to search their products, find company information and link to company website.

How do I find an exhibitor?

Go to “EXHIBITORS” tab on the left side of the homepage or on the top menu bar.
You can find Exhibitors by many ways, SEARCH BY: Company, Category, Product, Services & Accessories, Power, Sail, Other, Boat Size, Keyword and More…Click on their logo or company name and enter their virtual space.

How do I communicate directly with exhibitors?

Go to EXHIBITORS and click on the selected company name and that will take you to their virtual space or listing. Click “Chat With Us” button to the right of the image/video or in the tabs below the video.

If I can’t find information on products or have general show questions who do I ask?

You can visit the Boat Show Information Booth staffed with marine experts waiting to help!

If I have technical issues, questions who do I ask?

Go to the bottom right corner of your screen, you will see a “Live Tech Support” button – staffed with technical experts waiting to help! Type your question here and a tech expert will respond.

Is there a limit on how many people can watch a seminar?

500 people

Is there a limit on how many people can watch VIBS TV?

No limit

Will the seminars be available on-demand after?

Seminars (where the speaker has agreed to recording) will be available OnDemand starting the week of March 1st and will be available on the VIBS-Virtual website for 6 months.

How do I join a seminar?

Make sure you’re logged in, go to the Seminar page and click on the title of each seminar you are interested in viewing. Add it to your agenda (if it is not already there) by clicking on the “Register and Add to my Agenda” button. You can then join or watch by clicking the green join presentation button.

Do I have to be registered to watch each seminar?

You must already be registered in order to watch seminars. You also must add the seminars you want to your agenda.

I am not seeing the green join presentation button.

First, make sure you added the seminar to your agenda as per the above.  If you have added the session to your agenda, and are still not seeing the green join presentation button, your browser might be cached on your device. You may need to clear your browser’s cache on the join page. To do so:

  • On Windows: ctrl + F5
  • On a Mac/Apple: Apple + R or command + R
  • On Linux: F5

Can my computer or mobile device handle the virtual event?

Most up to date computers and mobile devices such as laptops, desktops, and handheld tables are capable of running the virtual event. Click here to run the Pre-Live ZOOM Test. Please also make sure that you have upgraded to the latest version of ZOOM by visiting zoom.us/download.

Can I add notes while watching?

Yes, go for it! When in a session, click the myNotes tab, type and export them later on.

How do I enter the Passport to Boating Contest?

  • Check-in with at least 10 or more participating companies listed below to be eligible to win a $500 shopping spree at any of the Virtual Exhibitors. Valid for 6 months.
  • Look for their passport ID number at the bottom of their profile page, select the passport check-in-button on their profile page, and then enter their ID#.

How do I receive the Skipper’s Club E-newsletter and Boating BC’s E-newsletter that will give me updated information on the Vancouver Boat Show?
